fribidi

GNU FriBidi is a free software library that implements the Unicode Bidirectional Algorithm, necessary for proper Hebrew and Arabic language support in free software. It is hoped that the library will stimulate the implementation of such support in many free software projects. The library has been used in projects such as Pango, GTK+, GNOME, AbiWord, MLTerm, MPlayer, BiCon, and VLC. The library does not depend on any other library and uses the GNU Build System or Meson for building and installation. The latest version can be found on GitHub and is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License. There is limited support for character set conversion from/to the UTF-32 encoding, and the library conforms to the Unicode Reference Code, always producing the same result as the Reference Code.
